🩸RoktoLagbe is a blood donation coordination platform serving donors and recipients across Bangladesh. This policy explains how we handle your personal and medical information with care and transparency.

Data Collection
We collect only what's necessary to facilitate blood donation services between donors and recipients:
Personal identifiers — Name, phone number, email address
Medical profile — Blood type, last donation date, donor status
Profile picture — An optional photo used for identification within the app. Profile pictures are stored securely on our servers and persist as part of your account until you change or delete them.
Location data — Your general area (district/thana) is used for donor matching. Sharing your precise live location is entirely optional — you choose to enable it during an active donation so recipients can find you. This location is temporarily stored on our servers for the duration of the active donation session and removed once the session ends.
Device token — For push notifications about blood requests near you

Donor Privacy
Your privacy as a donor is a top priority:
Your exact address is never displayed to any other user
Only your general area (e.g. Tangail, Dhaka) is shown in search results
Your phone number may be visible to requesters so they can contact you regarding urgent blood donation needs. After you accept a donation request, both parties can communicate directly to coordinate the donation.
You can disable your donor availability at any time from your profile

How We Use Your Data
Your information is used exclusively for:
Matching blood requests with compatible nearby donors
Sending notifications about requests matching your blood type and area
Enforcing the 90-day recovery period to protect your health
Tracking donation history for your personal records
Verifying donor eligibility and preventing fraudulent requests

Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or third parties. Data is only shared:
Between donor and requester — only after a donation is accepted
With Firebase (Google) — our secure backend infrastructure
With authorities — only if legally required by Bangladesh law

Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion:
Your personal and medical data is purged from active servers within 30 days
Anonymised donation statistics may be retained for public health reporting
To delete your account: go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account or email us directly
🔗 Account Deletion Portal — You can log in to this portal to instantly and permanently delete your account and all associated personal data, at any time, without needing to contact us.

Security
Your data is protected by:
Firebase Authentication with encrypted tokens
Firestore Security Rules — users can only read/write their own data
HTTPS encryption on all data in transit

Financial Transactions
RoktoLagbe may facilitate optional donations or support payments to help sustain the platform. All such transactions are handled entirely externally:
Processed via bKash — When you tap the "Donate Me" button in the app, we display a bKash phone number and a QR code. You then open your own bKash app independently, scan the QR code or manually enter the number, and send the payment directly through bKash. RoktoLagbe is never involved in or connected to the transaction itself.
We never see your credentials — RoktoLagbe does not collect, view, or store your bKash PIN, mobile banking password, credit card number, or any other financial credentials. These are entered directly into bKash's own secure environment.
No financial data stored — We do not retain any payment card details or bank account information on our servers. Transaction confirmations received from bKash are limited to a reference ID and amount only.
Third-party terms apply — Payments made through bKash are subject to bKash's own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it before completing any transaction.

Child Safety
RoktoLagbe is committed to providing a safe environment and maintaining strict standards against any content or behaviour that could harm minors:
Age restriction — RoktoLagbe is intended for users aged 18 and above. Blood donation requires donors to be at least 18 years old. Users confirm they meet the minimum age requirement during registration.
Zero tolerance for CSAM — RoktoLagbe has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors. Any such content will be immediately removed and reported to relevant national authorities and NCMEC.
In-app reporting — Users can report any content or behaviour that violates child safety standards directly within the app. All reports are reviewed promptly.
Compliance — We comply with all applicable child safety laws in Bangladesh and cooperate fully with law enforcement in any investigation involving the safety of minors.
Contact for child safety concerns — Email roktolagbe.support@gmail.com with subject "Child Safety Report". We will respond within 24 hours.

User Moderation & Reporting

RoktoLagbe is committed to maintaining a safe, reliable, and respectful community for blood donors and recipients. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, fraudulent activities, and inappropriate content.
1. Reporting Mechanisms
Users can report any profile, donation request, or interaction directly within the app if it violates our community standards.
Our administrative team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
2. Prohibited Conduct & Content
Fraud & Scams — Any attempt to solicit money, commercialize blood donation, or provide false information.
Fake Requests — Creation of non-genuine donation requests or spamming the platform.
Illegal Content — Any sharing of illegal content, including but not limited to CSAM/CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse Material/Evidence).
Harassment — Any form of bullying, hate speech, or inappropriate communication between users.
3. Enforcement & Banning
We reserve the right to permanently ban or block any user account found to be in violation of these standards. Once an account is banned, that user will be strictly prohibited from accessing the service again to ensure the safety of our blood donation community.
